I can see how the kimono takes after these forms. Kind of like the feminine rebellion of the 1920’s of American fashion when women prefer to wear loose dresses that didn’t emphasize the waistline or bust line so much, but a tubular shape to the overall.

The artifacts in the picture were excavated with the tomb of Yi Zhuang Wang in Jiangxi Province. Yi Zhuang Wang (Zhu Hou Ye ๆฑๅ็จ) was a descendant of Yi Duan Wang (Zhu You Bin ๆฑไฝๆง), the fourth son of Ming Xian Zong during the Ming Dynasty.
The buildings on the gold pin are made in the shape of Yi Zhuang Wang’s residence, so that future generations can recall the beauty of the residence back then.
