(Mostly because I had weakness debuff’s three weeks ago. First it was a cold for 2 weeks accompanied by period pain for a week within that. Then after a full recovery, I got a fever a while after that for 2-3 days.) All those debuff’s made me feel like Lin Daiyu lol.

The most iconic version is the 1987 version and it’s pretty much 宅斗. Which google translate says “ refers to the power struggle, emotional entanglement and various scheming strategies between female characters within the ancient or modern family (usually merchants, officials and eunuchs).” There are many present day novels and c dramas that’s about 宅斗 so it depends on if you like this genre. I watched it mostly because the hanfu in this version is said to be much more accurate than the new version of this. The first episode is not very interesting but the latter ones aren’t that bad. There is a certain charisma in characters and the director paid a lot of attention to details like making Lin Daiyu’s hand very pretty for the scene where she got to the mansion and lifts the curtain of the carriage
