JUZUI 25th Anniversary Show: Neo-Chinese Placket and Peony Embroidery

On the evening of August 5, 2026, the lights dimmed and a single beam fell on the catwalk as JUZUI (玖姿) presented "Chasing Light, New Life" (循光新生), its 25th-anniversary autumn-winter show. The event looked back on a quarter-century of the brand and, further, on the forty-year entrepreneurial journey of its parent, Anzheng Fashion Group, using "25 degrees — her scale" as its poetic frame. Four collections took the stage: commuter, leisure, social, plus a 1986 special collection, together forming a concentrated statement of Neo-Chinese aesthetics.

The show's title carried its value core. "Chasing light" means no longer chasing external standards and public approval, but staying true to inner passion and conviction — an independent woman who is "her own light source, growing inward." "New life" does not overturn the past; it transforms on the foundation of accumulated years, inheriting an Eastern elegance and innovating on the classics as the brand enters its next chapter.

In product terms, the commuter collection was built on clean architectural lines, pairing milky white with a fresh green and layering earth tones, balancing sculpted silhouettes with a loose, easy fit. The leisure collection returned to an unhurried state of mind, reshaping autumn-winter lightness with relaxed cuts. The social collection focused on refined fluidity and ritual — and here the signature details appeared: Neo-Chinese slant-placket cutting, peony sequin embroidery, and ostrich-feather trims. Eastern refinement, in this telling, is no longer heavy; it is fluid, airy, and of the present, aimed squarely at banquets and light social occasions in the premium segment.

The closing 1986 special collection was the strategic highlight. 1986 was the year Anzheng Fashion Group chairman Zheng Anzheng (郑安政) started his business — and a landmark year in the marketization of China's apparel industry. The collection uses a modern-pioneer design language: sculptural volumes, asymmetric cutting, the minimal line of a scarf-integrated alpaca coat, the tailored structure of silk-wool suits. It is at once an emotional return to the founding spirit and a product story that connects historical roots to contemporary design.

From the 1986 beginning to the 2001 founding of the JUZUI brand and the 2026 anniversary, four decades of craft and twenty-five years of brand-building converged in this one show. Financially, Shanghai Securities News reports that JUZUI is Anzheng's No. 1 revenue engine: in the first quarter of 2026 the brand brought in 211 million yuan, up 31.50 percent year on year, lifting the listed company's attributable net profit by 31.86 percent; the 2026 interim forecast projects attributable net profit of 58 million to 85 million yuan for the first half, up 162.64 percent to 284.90 percent, signaling steady repair of the apparel core business. "Twenty-five years old is the best age for a brand," Zheng Anzheng said at the show. "For the next twenty-five years, we will do exactly what we did at the start — make clothes honestly and treat our customers seriously. We do not chase trends, we do not chase hype. We make every garment well, and walk with Chinese women through every moment of their lives."

Industry observers see JUZUI's move as a sample of how premium domestic womenswear can restructure itself around light Neo-Chinese details, breaking the stereotype of heavy, stiff traditional dress. With customers and aesthetics both upgrading, making traditional elements lighter and more everyday is emerging as the new direction for guofeng brands breaking out.
