Number of Hanfu outfits
Just wondering how many hanfu outfits people have / what percentage of wardrobe is hanfu? How often do you wear them? Any tips for storing efficiently?
I adore the hanfu aesthetics and am keen to incorporate hanfu pieces into my wardrobe. Probably more modern hanfu outfits if only because I can wear these more often. However, my wardrobe is already packed… 😅Trying to decide how much I should clear out (I do this every year but it’s still quite full)

Hum… I never tried to count, ^^ but according to my pictures, i’d say 15 outfits and 2 of them I wear in a daily context. Both winter jackets, so not really outfits. 4 of these outfits come from this website, and the rest I made myself. Phew that’s a lot, now that it’s laid out! ^^

The scarf (what’s this called again?) appears attached to her dress – is this feasible? Has anyone seen this done before?
Really enjoying the hanfu in this manhua. It’s not overly elaborate or wuxia style. It feels like the artist referenced actual hanfu outfits.

Walking in mamianqun
So I got my first mamianqun 🥰 and was trying it out. How should I walk up and down stairs without tripping over it or letting it drag on the ground??
Usually, with A-line skirts, I can easily grab my skirt but the mamianqun has much more fabric. Am I overlooking something? Is there a nice elegant way of going up stairs with mamianqun?

Lost dream
Got Lost dream in the lucky pack.
Shirt – love the material and print. Nice smooth material
Skirt – I usually don’t go for qixiong because I’m small but this one seemed alright on me. It had straps and I didn’t look like I was drowning in fabric. Blue and white sections had different material but felt alright. The blue tie dye material is really smooth
Pibo – Material feels gross and stiff but I guess it necessary for the aesthetics

Did anyone get Crimson Tide? I couldn’t find any review or post here. Material looks fine but wanted to check if anyone could confirm how material feels and whether it’s shimmery/shiny? [Got burned with the last few hanfu I got which unexpectedly had shimmery fabric or shiny embroidery]

I thought it was alright price wise for decent polyester since there’s no embroidery and the skirt looks like basic wrap skirt 🤔

Styling short mamianqun and pleated skirts
Does anyone wears short mamianqun or the pleated skirts? How do you style it?
I usually wear other skirts that are the same length but I don’t like how the short mamianqun and pleated skirt looks.
So far the only way I’m sort of okay with these skirts is if I wear a dress/shirt that covers most of the skirt so only the bottom 1-2 inches show.

I have a silk blouse I wear under the skirt! I prefer to show the entire skirt, unless I’m wearing a Song-style top which would go over.
