Why do you like hanfu?

What made you interested in hanfu, and traditional style chinese clothes? Ive always liked long skirts and big sleeves, so when i learned about it, i immediately fell in love 😍😍!

I got into hanfu because I’m half Chinese, and I was trying to find more ways to connect with that heritage!
And yeah, it’s absolutely gorgeous and so comfortable!

Hanfu hats?

Are there hats that go with hanfu styles? I havent seen many things talking about hats and such.

I know there are many head dresses and accessories, but I dont see much for keeping the sun out of your face or eyes. Does anyone know or have resources for this?

For sun protection, wide-brimmed styles like straw sun hats work well with casual or modernized hanfu

I want to draw hanfu!

I love drawing, but I’m bad at it so I want to practice especially making what i draw look more authentic to actual hanfu. If you have a reference photo, with hanfu, (post in the comments, i think you can do that) I’ll give it a try! (maybe, no promises) and ill post it in the comments. Though, it probably won’t be too detailed.

The drawing I attached, it is based off of the Red Rose set I recently bought here, not exactly the same though :DD

Whats your favorite dynasty for clothes?

If i missed one im sorry 😖
Im curious about peoples reasons and thoughts! Plus, im trying to learn more about everything in general, so if you have anything else you wanna share id love to hear,,

I like Ming dynasty clothes the most, for their general aesthetic, and for the fact that the really long type of tops are more common i think. I love long shirts and couldnt live without them😩
(I also prefer thicker and warmer clothes)

I also like some of the warmer Ming style outfits. Unfortunately, it doesn’t get cold enough where I live for me to wear them.

Part of the reason I picked to go to college somewhere colder was because I wanted to wear ming dynasty hanfu…

Thoughts??

Would this work well as an outfit? I want to make some, but I want other opinions if it would be good or not, or other suggestions.
White zhongyi shirt
Blue banbi
and matching blue mamianqun or wrap skirt
The picture is really bad, and only to help envision it (the skirt would b normal length, i just drew it bad)
I would also embroider little flowers on the collar probably

This is a common match, almost all the characters in cdramas wear white zhongyi shirt

I love the colors! It’s so relaxed and elegant.

Please post pictures if you do end up making it! I’m also teaching myself how to make hanfu and would love to see what you came up with.
