Assuming you registered your newhanfu account on August 1, but you only checked in on the 1st and 2nd. Then you can choose the “Fill Check-in” feature, and pay points to fill in the check-ins on the 3rd to 5th.

Reimagined.
A drawing recreation of my parents’ engangement photo. My mother told me the photo studio did not have what she wanted, and did not do her idea any justice. She wished she could have it redone, and so I did – in the form of drawing.
This was pretty old, September 2020, so pardon for the bad art quality 😭

Been some time~ I wonder, what are your opinions on AI? So far I see one-two posts about it here and I wish to bring this topic up.
There are a few of them well-known in public; generative AI such as Midjourney, DALL-E; AI chatbots such as ChatGPT; AI humanoid robots such as Sophia and Ameca. They are only bound to improve in time, but there are ongoing discussions about ethics and morals… What stance are you in on this?

Woo, what a subject! Are you sure you want to open that can of worms? ^^ As an artist I only have an opinion on the use of AI in art and ilustrations. For me, it started and should remain a tool for creators, to generate reference images for example, to help them create their own art, and not replace them, as some editors are doing. I do think that AI developpement is unavoidable though, and there is nothing we ca do to stop it, unless there is a material shortage for electronics components, so might as well live with it.

Well, I don’t like it. Especially the ones generating images. People say that these are fed with art and authors of said art are not always aware that their art was stolen and fed to AI. And it is not good. It makes the effort artists put in their art seem not important. I think. I’m pretty sure there are many angles to this topic and I don’t really like it so I don’t know much about it beside what people around me say. So I don’t think I can say more than that. AI is risky because we don’t really know how it will evolve over time. It may prove to be dangerous. But no one can say that for sure.

AI can be very helpful and useful indeed; I still do use it once in a while for researching topics. I just wish they weren’t stealing anything unconsented.

Qing Mamianqun
While Ming dynasty mamianquns have ties at either end, mamianquns from the Qing dynasty seem to have loops at either end and knot buttons at the front. Why is that? What is the use of those?
It makes me wonder if they used knot buttons more instead of ties, and Qing mamianqun can be separated into two pieces, why is that?
