There are several ways of cutting and sewing in hanfu making.

The first one is lianchang, which I understand is to cut the fabric needed for the top and the bottom skirt separately, and finally sew them together as a whole, han dynasty shenyi is belongs to lianchang.

The second is yichang, which is a style that is cut separately, but does not need to be sewn together in the end, the common ruqun, which belongs to yichang.

The third type is tongcai, which is cut directly as a whole. No additional sewing of the top and bottom skirt is required.Robe is belongs to tongcai.

I just bought a hanfu, the skirt has some wrinkles, can I iron it directly?

Depends on the material, the normal ordinary material can be.

You can directly iron it, unless some materials are special, such as silk needs low temperature. To wear when ironing, do not put directly in the closet after ironing.😁
