Generalization, yes. Some cdrama have improved drastically in hanfu restoration. I think period dramas is a means to do so. With time, people will know true hanfu from costumes.

It is easy. True hanfu has minimal seam lines. Notice none along the shoulder and no line above the arm. That major difference

I think it’s a great thing. It’s about the nations history and culture. People have a feeling that they belong somewhere. Eventhough everyone is unique, they are all the same. (At least as I see it.)

Theoretically, why not? You can express yourself however you want, it does not matter where you are. I think that wearing hanfu in Japan is the same as wearing it in your country.😊

Well there are jerks every where. Some policemen in China arrest girls for wearing kimono, so there are bound to be people offended by hanfu in Japan too. So it’s up to you, really, whether you are willing to stand by your self expression or avoid confrontation. ^^ I say go for it! You’ll have a story to tell either way!
