I honestly don’t mind if it’s long, I can always wear something high for my height like my new over knee heel boot. Here are some of my personal suggestions. The first thing to consider is how to find customers and the cost of opening a store.
There are many different forms of hanfu stores, such as sourcing different styles of hanfu and selling them to local hanfu enthusiasts (covering hanfu experience, hanfu photography, equivalent to a hanfu experience hall). Another form is to customize hanfu for your customers individually (covering fabric sourcing, design, and making).

The common hanfu styles are concentrated in these dynasties: Han Dynasty, Wei and Jin Period, Tang Dynasty, Song Dynasty, and Ming Dynasty.
So, there are so many styles of hanfu. For example, the Ming dynasty had maybe 20 kinds of ladies’ clothing? Collars, sleeves can be matched in different ways. But only a few styles are often mentioned.

And the prices of orders from such stores are not low, because it takes longer and is more delicate to make a hanfu than ordinary clothes.
But it requires a good understanding of hanfu style and production. So my advice is to start with the most basic wholesale hanfu and then make a sale.

hey yeah meihuadian are just cosmetic marks that people used to put in the middle of their foreheads as an accessory! the story goes that there was a princess taking a walk in the garden one day and a flower fell on her forehead, which a lot of people thought was beautiful, so they started painting them onto their foreheads too. some men have similar markings but they’re usually just a dot, not any floral shape. they’re really popular cosmetics and these ones are often supplied as an extra when you buy hanfu, they work like temporary tattoos, just be sure to center them lol.

3 strings? Depends on the garment, I think. Sometimes a shan or ao is meant to fit more close to the body figure there are two stings on the outer right. Besides, it is more secure.

Take the qixiong ruqun top as an example.
When you put on the top, there is 1 strings on the left/right side and 1 strings on the inside/outside of the garment, but if it is a hanfu style from the Ming Dynasty, there may be an increase.

Yeah, learning by wearing Hanfu even if we don’t know..we can always try and figure it out on our own 😂 either we may wear it wrong or did something wrong with one of the part, like I did when the 2 ribbons was for the belt and I thought it was for the hair part (tie on the hair in a ponytail)

Based on the style of modern hanfu, my personal opinion, except for hanfu wedding clothes (or more elaborate and complex styles than wedding hanfu), most other styles are suitable for outing with friends/school/work.
Of course, besides the traditional hanfu styles, I think the best choice is the styles designed based on hanfu elements. For example, the shirt + mamianqun pairing, there are also many Song hanfu-inspired types of designs.

Different type of Hair Wig/bun
So apparently, I bought this one..I know that there are different type of Hair Buns/Wigs for each dynasties. Here’s how I remember the different hanfu styles.
1. as a whole: quju,zhiju,robe. Quju and zhiju are relatively simple. (or maybe I don’t know the in-depth classification), robe has three kinds of Tang, Song and Ming.
2. the top and skirt are separate: ruqun, shan, aoqun. These three are common in hanfu, and there are very many subdivisions styles.
The ruqun is mainly from the wei and jin dynasties, where the bottom of the top has an extra piece of fabric than the shan.
The shanqun, combined with the position of the waist of the skirt, can be divided into several styles like qixiong shanqun, qiyao shanqun and so on.
Aoqun, in fact, it is difficult for me to distinguish all the types of aoqun, long and short, etc.
There is much more to hanfu styles than that, so I look forward to other group members’ additions.😊

Yeah, the problem with this question is that when you say ‘royal family members’ it’s really vague what you’re talking about—it’s like asking how many royal family members of France have ever existed, you’re going to get hundreds or thousands of them depending on how large your range is.

About the colours, there are out there ready palletes of colours. If you simply search for colour palettes, you will have a lot of options to choose from.

That is a VAST question ^^. well, going for complementary colors is always a good start, you know, red and green, yellow and purple, orange and blue. I personnaly like to mix secondary colors, grean orange purple, varying their saturation and hue. You can research color theory. As for hanfu you also need to take into account the colors trending in the partiuclar dyansty, I think we have ample information in the articles of this forum. You have a pattern for the scarf thing here: https://www.newhanfu.com/9262.html Other wise it’s just a long piece of fabric, pretty straight forward.

Do you mean the pibo? It’s just a really long rectangle, usually like 3 meters by 45cm. Usually people don’t have fabric that long so you can sew two 1.5m pieces or three 1m pieces of fabric together and hem the edges.

I would say that most of the Tang styles are impossible without wigs, but that applies for most of the “luxurious” hairstyles. I have seen lots of Ming styles without wigs or just some combination of buns.

I’m still not used to the changed with the market and the points and all
I’m still having trouble knowing how much points I need to redeem stuff even though my membership just expired last month and wanted to renew it. So I can redeem new Hanfu and other stuff. Is there a way to make it a bit easier like the one before?

Hi! Welcome! Actually you can only FULLY redeem a Hanfu with your points if it has both New and Point tag on them. 😉

I get it better now, but I am still confused, if thats the case, then why are ‘pink dream’ and ‘crane tower’ showing 100% discount (my phone doesnt show “new” tag on them)? Also, can you only redeem a certain amount of points on the hanfus not in the point discount section?

I think you’ll need to define the terms of your question (OMG I sound like a teacher^^). Do you mean what TYPE of modern hanfu? or what MODEL specifically? what is POPULAR? that we see a lot? that is sold a lot on the shop? etc ^^ I think the mamian qun is hands down the most popular type, as it easily blends into a modern style. It’s less clear for me for the top part.

I am OBSESSED with hairpins, they do not rip out my hair(unlike rubber bands), and also ribbons, cute way to style a high ponytail! And of course earrings and from time to time necklaces. Bracelets too but those are worn rarely by me since I usually wear a watch XD

I honestly love the strawberry hanfu and my mom loves the second hanfu that I got though. I’m still gonna keep it since it looks very cute!☺️

Question about makeup and hairstyles that is suitable for the Dynasties looks in different part of China
For each dynasties, is there a particular way to do the hairstyles in any meaning for each Hanfu dynasty and what kind of makeup looks are there for each Hanfu that suit people the most, because I found out that Guangzhou does the makeup but does different part of China has different kinds of makeup looks and styles in hair?

a lot of the hairstyles we know about come from artifacts such as statues and paintings. I would recommend finding out where in china the artifacts you’re referencing are from
