I’d say it’s some sort of cross collared shirt and a skirt. Because of the ties. If it werent for the ties, I would try guessing a robe.

Cultural appropriation & appreciation
As a foreigner, what do you mean by appropiation? And what is the view of cultural appreciation? I went through these terms in youtube. But there’s less chance of discussion. I think it’s true for not only hanfu but all other traditional dresses that’re worn worldwide.
In picture-hair stick that attracted me towards my own hanfu set.

I think the worst thing is when someone clearly know the name of one traditional dress, but still says it as another dress in public. You can never wake up a person who is pretending to be asleep.

Yes, some time ago, there was a case with Dior (you can maybe find it in the group). They said that it was their own idea, but the skirt looked exactly like a Mamian qun.

In my opinion, bride should look as mature and dignified as possible. Chiffon woud be suitable for a fairy-like appearance.
