Out of curiosity, are you guys gonna wear hanfu for Halloween?
Can’t believe it’s already the middle of October… how many of you will be dressing up in fancy hanfu for Halloween? If you are, what outfit do you have planned? Tbh I’m a bit self-conscious about going out in regular hanfu, so Halloween is the perfect excuse for me to go all out haha.

Haha! Nice survey. In France, if you have a Halloween party, costumes are limited to halloween themed costumes, unlike in the US where you can just dress as anything. So, no Hanfu for me. :p Unless it’s a Chinese ghost ^^

Mm, the white dress is a nod to Edwardian (1900-1910) lingerie dress (different meaning back then), but the neckline should be very high. The poofy upper sleeve is to 1890s, and the small hat is considerably so as well. Needs more laces tho ✨

Well it would be amazing if it was done traditionally, but I think it is digital painting. The watercolor effects are pretty reallistic so I might be wrong. But I still think some brush strokes look digital. LIke the perfect circle of the fan, or the white lens flare effects 😉

Hi everyone! I got into hanfu way back in summer, but only recently did I make the leap to purchase some sets from Taobao! One is a pretty ruqun black and purple set, and the other is a cozy wintery Ming-style with a gold-embroidered mamianqun ❤️
Sadly I caught COVID just around the holidays, but it’s easing up already—hopefully next year I’ll be able to do some outdoors winter photoshoots with my friends! #2023

For ref i’m 158 cm! M is the smallest size and is a little large for me (I think these are technically a men’s style), so the torso part is too long for me (noticeable bc of the waist seam, top and bottom are two separate designs, I had to tuck it up). Prob fits best if you’re ten cm taller than I am lol. But asides from that it’s pretty much one size fits all! Hope that helps 🙂
