A Lake in Early Summer
The print starts from a real place: the lake scenery of Jiangnan in late spring turning into early summer, when the willows come into leaf and the water has just warmed. Two motifs carry it. Across the bodice, a woven panel sets out a lotus pond — dusky hills behind, a low bridge, water threading between them — so that the scene sits at a slight distance, the way a far shore does. Down the skirt, the pattern changes character: swallows threading willow branches over ripples that stack and fold along the length of the cloth. The colour is taken from the traditional Chinese palette and named for it — willow green (柳绿) — deepest at the waist and released almost to white at the hem.
Fabric & Craft
The bodice panel is woven in zhuanghua, a supplementary-weft brocade in which the motif is built into the cloth rather than printed onto it. That is why the lotus pond holds a faint relief and takes light differently from the printed skirt beneath it — the two halves of the dress are not made the same way, and the join between them is the point rather than a seam to hide. The ground cloth is a jialixie twill (佳丽斜), a densely woven diagonal-weave fabric chosen for the weight a floor-length skirt needs. The whole dress is lined with a soft inner layer, so the skirt falls without clinging and nothing shows through when you move.
How It Fits
The waist seam sits high in an empire line, with a square neckline and wide shoulder straps that frame the collarbone. Two details decide your size. The back is shirred — gathered on elastic — so the bodice takes a range of chest measurements rather than one fixed number, which is what the measurement column above reflects. And there is a zip set into the side seam, so you get into the dress without working against that elastic. The skirt falls from the high waist in one unbroken line, 115 cm at S through to 121 cm at L measured from the centre back, and it is cut full enough to move rather than hang flat. Because the bodice stretches and the skirt does not, most people read the waist column first and the chest column second.
Buyer Size Reference
Measurements shared by recent buyers, with the size each one chose.
| Height (cm) | Weight (kg) | Size Bought |
|---|---|---|
| 159 | 49 | S |
| 164 | 55 | S |
| 160 | 56 | S |
| 160 | 58 | M |
| 163 | 61 | L |
| 168 | 62 | L |
Read it as a spread rather than a rule. Height barely separates these three sizes — everyone from 159 to 164 cm landed on S — while weight does the work: 49 to 56 kg stayed in S, 58 kg took M, and 61 kg and up moved to L. The dress runs long on purpose; if you are 163 cm or under and would rather not wear heels, the shorter sizes keep the hem clear of the ground.
Care & Notes
Hand wash at no more than 30°C. Do not bleach. Hang dry. Iron at no more than 110°C. Standard dry cleaning is acceptable. The green dye is deep and may release colour on the first wash — wash it on its own the first time, and keep it out of direct sun while it dries.

The color is true green and I love it — the only thing is the bodice doesn’t sit quite flat against the chest.
Bought it as a birthday gift for a friend and she really liked it. Just be accurate with the bust measurement when choosing a size, or it may gape when you bend over.
Wearing it lengthens the body’s proportions — the slimming effect looks completely natural.
It’s breathable to wear and doesn’t trap sweat even in summer.
The fabric is light and breathable, not stuffy at all in summer. The gradient transition is soft and subtle, and the square-shoulder design flatters the shoulder line. If your shoulders slope, buy with confidence.
Even prettier in person than in the listing photos! The green brightens the complexion, the skirt has a lovely drape and doesn’t shorten the figure. Size S fits well and the embroidery is exquisite.
When it arrived it looked really beautiful — I’m very satisfied.
The full skirt has a lovely fluid drape — every step flows and billows, and every frame you freeze in a photo looks stunning.
I absolutely love this kind of gorgeous yet everyday hanfu-element look.
I love this new-Chinese-style cool, detached vibe~
