On January 31, the “Experience China – In Dubai Expo” event hosted by the State Council Information Office of China and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade was unveiled at the China Pavilion of Dubai Expo.
Activities such as “Elephant Travel Tour”, “Panda Live”, Hanfu show, and traditional Chinese costume music flash mob, bringing a strong Chinese atmosphere to the Dubai Expo.
“Elephant Travel Tour”
In 2021, a group of Yunnan elephants “runaway” attracted the world’s attention, and under the silent guardianship of countless Chinese people, the elephants finally returned home after a long journey, creating a world-class spectacle.
“Panda Live”
The “Elephant Travel Tour” exhibition recreates the behind-the-scenes story of a loving journey of human-elephant symbiosis with the newly born baby elephants as the first point of view during the elephant journey.
The naive giant panda has become the most recognizable Chinese cultural symbol. The event opened a “Panda Live” at the Dubai Expo site, inviting visitors from all over the world to watch the daily life of the panda family. In the context of the epidemic, the happy life of pandas has a magical “healing effect” and makes people feel warm.
Hanfu in Dubai
China Hanfu was also exhibited on the Expo stage. The antique booths were filled with exquisite hanfu that sparked amazement and set off a wave of Chinese culture.
The staff outside the Chinese pavilion wore various hanfu to pay a new year call to visitors, while foreign volunteers inside the pavilion received guests in hanfu embroidered with auspicious elements such as gourds, persimmons, and koi, creating an immersive “journey through Chinese culture”.
A Chinese costume music flash mob brought the climax of the event. With the beautiful melodies of classic Chinese songs such as “Mo Li Hua” and “My People, My Country”, the strong Chinese flavor aroused the nostalgia of many Chinese visitors and attracted visitors from all over the world to stop and enjoy.
