i checked out your guide, and it was super helpful! i think i'll probably try to add more yardage first, and then if that's not getting the desired effect i'll turn it into a poqun. luckily this is just a mockup, so i have plenty of cheap cotton to use for testing. thanks everyone for your help!

I've heard that people use wire cat brushes to comb out yarn into fibers, so you could try that!

honestly, I'm not sure... this is for a cosplay, so it doesn't match any existing style perfectly. it most closely matches a zhiduo with a qun underneath.
