Just finished Stories of Yanxi Palace last night. Having mixed feelings about the drama as a whole. The acting and cinematography was top notch. Sometimes I yearned for more characters with good morals. The FL was such a compelling and complex character, but there were just so many villains! The plot took some very unexpected and satisfying twists, but the final few episodes 10 years later seemed a bit tacked on to the end. There wasn't enough time to grow to care deeply about the younger, now grown up characters.
But overall, I thought it was worth watching. I'd give it 7.5/10
